Shinagawa Station is one of Tokyo’s terminal stations where the Shinkansen bullet train has stopped.
The Prince Hotel is located right in front of the Takanawa Exit of Shinagawa Station, and there is an aquarium inside the hotel.
In this article, we will introduce you to Maxell Aqua Park Shinagawa, which is located inside the Shinagawa Prince Hotel.

The fee is 2,500 yen for adults and 1,300 yen for children (elementary to junior high school).
Infants (4 years old and up) are 800 yen.

There is a merry-go-round just outside the entrance. You can ride on various sea creatures such as dolphins. Don’t you think this is very unusual for an aquarium ?

After walking for a while, a saw shark appeared. I saw it for the first time, and was surprised to see that its nose really looks like a saw. How did it evolve?

You can also see penguins and various types of jellyfish.
Penguins are cute. They were moving quickly here and there.

The jellyfish were shining like jewels. I saw many other kinds of jellyfish as well.

And finally, the dolphin show. The dolphin show in Shinagawa was unique in that it had a water fountain. And the dolphins move dynamically. It is amazing to have such a big space in front of a station in the CBD.

I think they are flying higher than dolphins in other aquariums. Big jump!

And Shinagawa’s dolphins are mischievous. They use their tails to splash water on the customers.
I had heard that we would get wet, but I did not expect to get so wet.
You can buy a vinyl raincoat in advance for 100 yen if necessary.

It was better than I had imagined, with lots of attractions for the whole family to enjoy. My daughter was amazed by the dolphins. Located in front of the station in the city, it is very accessible, so feel free to stop by. (Weekends are crowded, recommend to visit in weekdays, if possible).
